City Cufflinks supports London photography exhibition

Analogue photography of beautiful Amsterdam canal houses and exquisite interiors showcased in the heart of the vibrant City. In a location with a longstanding and unique history. In short: a crossover experience connecting heritage, contemporary times, art and architecture. What more can you wish for? Well, add a touch of design and the feast for the eyes and mind is complete.

If you enjoy the finer things in life -including art and design- and you are residing in or visiting London in January 2017, you can visit the Dutch Centre in the City where renowned Dutch photographer Marie-Jeanne van Hövell tot Westerflier will have her first exhibition of analogue photos, including wintery scenes of the Amsterdam Canals.

City Cufflinks is a proud supporter of the arts and will collaborate in this exhibition in showing their handcrafted miniature sculptures of both Amsterdam and London, designed by Dutch designer Seroj. The Amsterdam Canal Cufflinks will be linked to the works of Marie-Jeanne. In both the photography and the design objects the cities as depicted will come to life in the intimacy of the marvelous Dutch Centre (within the Dutch Church premises). Yet again a cufflink moment.

The Dutch Ambassador to the UK will open the exhibition on January 17 at 7 PM in the Dutch Centre. Address:  7 Austin Friars, London, EC2N 2HA.

The exhibition will continue for 2 months.

City Cufflinks® amongst Ambassadors in Washington, DC

For over 400 years, the Netherlands and the United States have been partners.

Holland on the Hill, a joint project of the Netherlands Embassy, the Dutch Caucus, the Netherlands business community and the Netherland-America Foundation aims to strengthen these ties on an economic, political and cultural level.

This is marked by offering annually The Holland on the Hill Heineken Award honors to an entrepreneur who has made a substantial and positive contribution to the U.S.-Dutch economic relationship, exemplifying the best of both worlds. This award is linked to the renowned annual Ambassadors’ Awards dinner at the Mayflower hotel in Washington, DC.

City Cufflinks® was proud to be a contributor to this Netherland-America Foundation Ambassadors' Awards Dinner on April 21, 2016 in Washington, DC. Featuring our New York City and Amsterdam designs. Offering modern design and connecting cities, countries and above all, people.

Yet another outstanding example of a cufflink-moment.

City Cufflinks® celebrating royally at the Plaza

Every year for the last 34 years an elegant and festive event is held at the famous Plaza hotel in New York City. The Peter Stuyvesant Ball, initiated by the Netherland-America Foundation (NAF). This foundation aims to strengthen the longstanding strong ties between the United States and the Netherlands.

The Peter Stuyvesant Ball is an annual event, at which diplomatic envoys, influential leaders and friends of the Dutch-American community from both sides of the pond gather in support of the NAFs activities. It is held in the presence of the NAF’s patrons, Her Royal Highness Princess Margriet of the Netherlands and Professor Pieter van Vollenhoven.

For the 34th edition of the ball -held on 20 November 2015- City Cufflinks® contributed a twinset of both the Amsterdam Canal Cufflinks® and the New York City Cufflinks® in a tailor-made designed twin packaging. Thus marking the bond between the Netherlands and it’s capital (old) Amsterdam and the United States and it’s world renowned New York City, formerly known as New Amsterdam. Linking history with 21th century design.

All in all an impressive cufflink-moment.
